Privacy, in plain language
Written for families, not lawyers. Draft for Phase 1.
The free board keeps everything on your device
Messages, pain entries, the phrase set, settings, and the words the board learns from your loved one are stored in your browser on the device you use. Nothing is sent to us. There is no account and no network call that carries what the patient says.
What we collect
Today: nothing. The board asks for a first name or nickname for the patient and a name for the person operating it, and keeps both on the device only. We never ask for a date of birth, medical record number, or address.
Export and delete
You can export the message log as a spreadsheet file or a printable handoff sheet at any time from the Log page. A “Delete everything” button in Settings erases all board data from the device. It works.
What changes with paid plans (later)
Cloud sync will be opt-in and is what the Family plan buys. Content will be encrypted in transit and at rest. AI features will send message text to our AI provider to produce predictions and summaries; we will say so plainly here before those features ship, and they will be off by default.
Not a medical device
YES Board is a communication aid. It reports what the patient said. It never recommends treatment.
